For
any of our Internet
Usage Plans we
require a photocopy
of the Applicant's
National Identity
Card along with
the applicant's
signature on all
the necessary
areas: Application
Form, Terms &
Conditions paper
and the Agreement
Form.
In case of the
applicant being
a foreign national,
we require the
photocopy of the
applicants' passport
along with the
applicants' signature
on all the necessary
areas: Application
Form, Terms &
Conditions paper
and the Agreement
Form. Applicants
are required to
submit an Authority
Letter in case
they wish someone
else to collect
their password
sheet. Please
note that the
letter must accompany
the National Identity
Cards of the applicant
and the authorized
person.
Applicants for
the Corporate
User Plan are
required to submit
a request of application
on the company
letterhead.
Gas
streams produced
from reservoirs
contain natural
gas liquids and
other materials.
Processing is
required to separate
the gas from petroleum
liquids and to
remove contaminants.
First, the gas
is separated from
free liquids such
as crude oil,
hydrocarbon condensate,
water, and entrained
solids. The separated
gas is further
processed to meet
specified requirements.
For example, natural
gas for transmission
companies must
generally meet
certain pipeline
quality specifications
with respect to
water content,
hydrocarbon dew
point, heating
value, and hydrogen-sulfide
content. A dehydration
plant controls
water content;
a gas processing
plant removes
certain hydrocarbon
components to
hydrocarbon dew
point specifications;
and a gas sweetening
plant removes
hydrogen sulfide
and other sulfur
compounds (when
present).

Cyber.Net
supports the POP3
mail facility. All
you need to do is
enter the mail addresses
of the POP3 and
SMTP mail servers,
which are "rhino.cyber.net.pk".
Yes,
you will be charged
even if you don't
come to make your
monthly payment
for the subsequent
month. Your account
will be kept active
for a period of
30 days, during
which time you can
come and make the
required payment.
At the end of thirty
days, if we do not
have any intimation
from you, we will
terminate your account
as per company policy.
You
can transfer your
plan a day before
or on your billing
date by simply filling
out the transfer
form, and clearing
all your previous
dues if any in your
current Internet
usage plan.
If
you would like
to transfer to
a different usage
plan, you can
intimate us any
time during the
billing cycle;
however, you will
have to clear
all his previous
dues before such
a transfer. Moreover,
if a person comes
after his/ her
billing date,
when the monthly
fees for the existing
plan has already
been charged,
he or she would
have to forego
the payment if
he or she wants
the transfer to
be applicable
from that day.
This implies that
the balance amounts
in case of transfers
from the monthly
packages are not
transferable once
the monthly fee
has been charged.
Hence it is entirely
upto you, whether
to carry on for
the entire month
with the same
package and have
the transfer done
from your next
billing date or
to forego the
amount and make
additional payment
for the new package.
In such cases,
same user id will
be available to
you. The second
option is that
you can get a
new account with
a different user
id (email address),
if you do not
want to clear
your previous
dues in the suspended
account.
The
procedure for
switching to another
plan is very simple.
You just need
to fill out the
transfer form,
and submit it
at our Customer
Services Center.
The transfer form
is available at
our service centers.
Whenever you transfer
to another package,
you are provided
with a new customer
account number,
and your passwords,
both e-mail and
login also change.
Your
billing date is
the date on which
your account is
created. You can
view your next
billing date from
the option where
you check your
account usage
on our Web site,
http://www.cyber.net.pk.
Given
the above scenario,
you can purchase
additional hours
at the respective
additional hourly
rate and these
hours can be utilized
till your next
billing date.
As
this is a monthly
plan, balance
of the basic hours
purchased as per
plan, that is
100 hours for
Virtual Unlimited,
will lapse at
the end of the
month. However,
if any additional
hours are purchased
within a month,
at the respective
additional rate,
then this balance
amount will be
carried forward
and adjusted against
next month's charge.
No,
your billing date
is always your
account creation
date. You can
make an advance
payment for the
subsequent month's
fees, but any
extra hours used
before your billing
date would be
charged at the
additional rate
and hence deducted
from your advance
payment.
Yes,
you receive an
email notification
if your hours
are about to finish.
Following is the
threshold level
for the email
notification:
Virtual Unlimited
10 hours before
the exhaustion
of 100 basic hours
i.e. after crossing
90 hours.
You
get an email notification
of your billing
date, seven days
before it falls
due. Moreover,
you can also see
your next billing
date on your account
usage page.
You
don't need to
pay anything extra
apart from the
required monthly
charge to transfer
your current monthly
plan to a different
usage plan. All
you have to do
is to clear your
previous dues,
and submit the
transfer form
at our Customer
Service Center.
In
this case, you
need to deposit
sufficient monthly
payment in advance
in order to secure
your user id.
If during this
period you feel
that somebody
might use your
account, you can
have your user
ID disabled temporarily,
your billing account
will remain active,
hence safeguarding
your account.
No,
all dialup features
in terms of available
bandwidth, number
of access lines
and dial in number,
is similar to
the ones offered
to the hourly
usage plans users,
except for the
billing cycle.
In
this case, let
us take an example;
if your account
has been created
on the 15th, your
usage would be
counted from 15th
of every month
till 14th of next
month.
A dialer is an icon
using which, you
get connected to
the Internet. Behind
this icon a program
runs which carries
information about
your ISP like the
phone number, DNS
entries etc. We
can say that the
dialer is like a
telephone and it
is used to dial
in to your ISP.
In this box, type
in the name, or
the address, of
the web site you
want to visit. In
almost all cases
that name begins
with "http://",
followed by "www."
And ending with
". com".
Let's say we wanted
to visit the CNN
News web site. This
is hat the address
would look like
http://www.cnn.com.
After you've typed
all that n, move
the mouse pointer
to the "OPEN"
button in the lower-right
corner of the pen
location box.
When you place the
mouse pointer over
any link it will
turn into a hand
with the index finger
extended.
Text links will
always be underlined,
but not always blue.
When you see a graphic
that is linked,
there may be a colored
border, but it's
not a requirement.
When you click on
a link, and you
don't get a response
immediately, try
waiting a little
longer. A lot of
people might be
trying to get at
the same link that
you are.
The
Tool Bar is at the
top of your screen.
Its various functions
are as follows:
The
Back Button:
This
button will take
you back to the
last web page that
you have visited.
You can usually
go all the way back
to the first page
that you saw today.
The button will
turn grey when you
cannot go back any
further.
The
Forward Button:
Press this button
to move forward
through any of the
pages which you
have visited today.
This button is really
only useful when
you have already
seen he page that
you are looking
at. Therefore it
will be gray, and
unusable, through
most of the time
using Netscape.
The
Home Button:
This button will
bring you back to
your starting page,
which, if you haven't
changed it, will
be the Netscape
site.
The
Reload Button:
If the web site
that you are trying
to visit is taking
an unusually long
time to load (say,
a minute or two),
then you can press
the reload button
to try that web
site again. Also,
if you are visiting
a Web site that
changes frequently,
such as an online
newspaper or a weather
map, you can press
this button to see
the latest version
of the web site.
The
Images Button:
You will most likely
never have to use
the images button.
However, if you
see outlined boxes
instead of graphics
all over any given
web site, then you
will need to press
this button to see
the images.
The
Open Button:
Press this button
if you would like
to visit another
web site.
The
Print Button:
Press this button
to print out a copy
of the web page
that's on the screen.
Remember that this
will only allow
you to print the
page, not the entire
web site.
The
Find Button:
Press this button
to search the current
page that you are
looking at for a
word or phrase.
You cannot search
other pages on the
Internet by pushing
this button (an
example of a good
search utility is
Yahoo)
The
Stop Button:
If you would like
to stop loading
a web site, and
move on to another
one, click on this
button. Then click
on the open button
to type in a new
web site.
Netscape
has given the option
to give some room
by turning off the
"Show Directory
Buttons" feature.
You can also increase
the display area
by only showing
the words of the
tool bar rather
than the words and
the pictures.
Click
on "Options."
Click
on "General
Preferences"
Click
on the "Appearance"
button.
Where
it says "Show
main Toolbar as",
click on "Text".
The
Location field only
contains the ten
most recent URL's
that have been visited.
If you type in an
eleventh URL in
the Location field
then it will be
included in the
list while the tenth
URL in the list
will be washed out
of the Location
field.
Select
the image by moving
the cursor over
the image and right
Click on "Save
this image as".
Specify the location
to which you want
to save the file
in the directory
dialogue box that
pops up. For example,
you may want to
save it in your
C:\DATA directory.
Make sure the name
of the file (that
you are storing
the image as) is
one that you will
recognize.
In
Communicator, Navigate
to the web page
you wish to send.
Go to File | Send
Page (Note: Windows
users may also right-click
the mouse and select
Send Page)
This
will launch a message
composition window.
Enter the email
address of the person
you want to send
the page to. Edit
the Subject field
if necessary. Click
on the 'Send' button.
In
Navigator, Navigate
to the page you
wish to send. Go
to File | Send Frame
(Note: Windows users
may also right-click
the mouse to select
Send Page)
This
will launch a message
composition window.
Enter the email
address of the person
you want to send
the page to. Edit
the Subject field
if necessary. Click
on the 'Send' button.
Simply
bring up the popup
menu over the image
(on Unix and Windows,
by holding down
the right mouse
button; on Mac,
by holding down
the mouse button
for about a second)
and select "Save
This Image As...".
This will save the
GIF, XBM, or JPEG
image, removing
any encoding which
was done to it in
transit (that is,
MIME Base64 encoding,
or UUencoding.)
Netscape
Navigator and Communicator
maintain a "history
file" to keep
track of every web
page you've visited
recently. This file
remembers every
URL you've accessed,
including every
web page you went
to, every image
on those web pages,
and every file you
downloaded through
Netscape Navigator
or Communicator.
This is to let the
program remember
what web links you've
already visited
so it can make the
"visited"
links show up in
a different color
than the "unvisited"
links. You can set
the number of days
that the browser
remembers links:
In Netscape Navigator,
select "General
Preferences"
from the Options
menu, and click
the "Appearance"
tab. Then change
the "Visited
links expire after
N days" field
to anything you
want. You can click
on "Expire"
now to immediately
clear the history.
In Netscape Communicator,
select "Preferences"
from the "Edit"
menu and click on
"Navigator"
in the list along
the left side of
the window. Then
change the "Visited
links expire after
N days" field
to anything you
want. You can click
on "Expire
now" to immediately
clear the history.
If you set "Visited
links expire after
N days" to
'3', then any web
pages you visited
more than three
days ago will be
forgotten from the
history file.
If you want to see
what is listed in
the history file,
type in this URL
in the "Location"
field at the top
of the browser window:
"about:global"
This will show you
all of the URL's
loaded, including
a separate entry
for every image.
It is not sorted
chronologically,
and it may be very
large and take a
few minutes to display
completely.
The history file
doesn't have any
effect on the "Location"
or "Netsite"
pulldown menu at
the top of your
browser window.
The
Bookmarks window
does not allow for
any type of printing
functions, since
it was designed
for hyper linking.
However, there is
a workaround. Open
the file Bookmarks.htm
in your Netscape
browser. You can
do this by clicking
on File | Open File
(Open Page in Communicator).
Once the page comes
up, you can then
click on File and
Print.
The only down side
to this is that
you will not be
able to print the
URL address that
is attached to each
bookmark. You could
also bring it up
in the Browser and
click on View and
View Document Source.
Then highlight everything,
press Ctrl+C, open
Notepad and paste
it. This will have
all of the URL's
and bookmark titles.
Again, there is
a down side as there
will be a lot of
HTML code included
and you will have
to clean it up.
No,
in order to send
and receive mail
you must be connected
to the Internet.
Although in the
deferred delivery
mode you can compose
mail without being
connected. But at
the time of sending
the mail, you have
to get connected.
Here
at Cyber.Net, the
initial password
that we allocate
to you is used for
logging in and also
for accessing E-mail.
However if you change
your account (logging)
password, then your
e-mail password
does not change
and remains the
same unless you
change it as well.
This
error occurs when
the name of the
mail server is missing.
Click
on the options on
the menu bar.
Click
on the "Mail
and News Preferences"
Click
on the "Servers"
tab.
In
the edit Windows
"Outgoing Mail
(SMTP) server"
and "Incoming
Mail
(POP3) server"
type in the name
or DNS entries of
your ISP's mail
server.
(Cyber.Net mail
server: rhino.cyber.net.pk).
